NC Governor’s School is hosting an online Parent Information Meeting
The NHCS AIG (Academically/Intellectually Gifted) Program in partnership with the NC Department of Public Instruction is hosting an online parent information session for interested 10th and 11th graders. Students do not have to be identified as AIG in order to attend this meeting.
The Governor's School of North Carolina is a five-week summer residential program for high school students, integrating academic disciplines, the arts, and unique courses. The curriculum focuses on the exploration of the most recent ideas and concepts in each discipline, and it does not involve credit, tests, or grades. Students are selected to attend through a competitive district and state process after being nominated by their school. NHCS will send the names of 23 academic applicants for further consideration by the state selection team. The state selection team will also determine the number of art applicants accepted for each county.
