New Hanover County Board of Education Announces October 2022 Interim Meeting
The Board of Education will hold its October Interim Board Meeting on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, beginning at 5:00 PM - Board of Education Center, located at 1805 South 13th Street.
The purpose of this meeting is to review vessel insurance as related to student field trips, consider Policies 1725/4035/7236-R - Title IX Sexual Harassment-Prohibited Conduct and Reporting Process Definitions-for Second Reading; Amendment to Policy 2330-Board Committees; and Amendment to Policy 3300-School Calendar and Time for Learning; and the approval of Board meeting minutes.

During the meeting, the Board will hold a Closed Session pursuant to NCGS 143-318.11 (a)(1), (3) and (6) to consider personnel matters and to maintain the confidentiality of personnel records under N.C.G.S. 115C-319 and -321; to prevent the disclosure of student records rendered confidential under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, 20 U.S.C. 1232g; to consult with the board’s attorney to preserve attorney-client privileged information, including in the cases captioned John Does 1-14 v. New Hanover County Board of Education et al., New Hanover County Superior Court Case No. 19-CVS-2745 and New Hanover County Board of Education v. John Does 1-13, Netherlands Insurance Company, et al., New Hanover Superior Court Case No. 21-CVS-4094.
