New Hanover County Board of Education Votes for Optional Masks Effective February 18, 2022

At its February 16 Special Meeting, the New Hanover County Board of Education voted to make masks optional for all persons within the district effective February 18, 2022. 
Per CDC requirements, masks will still be required on school buses. Additionally, Headstart Programs (Johnson Pre K) are still required to adhere to federal mask mandates.
