New Hanover County Health and Human Services to Provide Additional Support to School Nurses

New Hanover County Health and Human Services has provided additional support to school nurses to help with Covid investigations within the school setting so that the school nurses can focus on keeping your child safe, healthy, and ready to learn while they are in school. If you are calling for guidance related to Covid symptoms, an exposure, or a positive test, your nurse will take your information, provide contact tracing in the school and forward that information to a Covid Investigator designated for your school. Follow-up guidance, as well as close contact guidance, will be provided by our Covid Investigators instead of our school nurses.
