We will ensure New Hanover County Schools celebrates our diverse community through growing a sustainable environment that embraces inclusion, provides equitable opportunities, and affirms our humanity.
The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Board Committee is a committee comprised of district educators and community members who are focused on policy and procedures, establishing smart goals and engaging with the community. The EDI committee will ensure New Hanover County Schools celebrates our diverse community through growing a sustainable environment that embraces inclusion, provides equitable opportunities and affirms our humanity. The EDI committee works in collaboration with the Equity Workgroup to ensure that NHCS is providing equitable and inclusive culture to all students and staff.
