Family Life Education
NHCS Reproductive Health and Safety Education consists of
- Growth and Changes in Grade 5
- Family Life in Grades 6-8
- The Sexual and Reproductive Health unit in the high school graduation requirement course "Health and Physical Education." Typically, students take this course in 9th or 10th grade.
All 3 levels provide opt-in programs taught by our qualified Health and PE teachers and trained school staff. A permission slip will be sent home by your child's school for you to opt-in. This must be signed and submitted for each school year.
If you have specific questions about the programs or would like more details, please reach out to your child's school for more information. There are copies of materials at each school site.
