Re-Application Process

To Update Your Child’s Preschool Application

If your family has previously applied (for any child) or are currently on our waitlist, you will not be able to fill out a new application due to our data management system already having your family on file. In this case, you will need to “update” your previous application and submit the following documents: If you are unsure, you may contact our office at 910-254-4173 to find out if a past application is on file.

In order for your child to be considered for preschool services, the parent/family must complete the following process to submit an application.

Steps for Re-Applying or Updating a Preschool Application:

  1. Contact our office to schedule an appointment (face to face or by phone) or if you are currently in our program, your Family Specialist will be reaching out to you to update your application.
  2. Gather all of the required documents listed below prior to your scheduled appointment.
    • Proof of address (lease, mortgage, or current electric bill). If you reside with another family and are not on the lease or mortgage, please fill out a Residency Affidavit and submit a copy of the resident’s lease or mortgage. The Residency Affidavit must be notarized at the time of submission.
    • Proof of income for the last 12 months for all legal guardians in the household.

  3. Save the documents in a digital format on the device you will use to submit to the application office. Documents should be saved as PDF, JPEG, JPG, PNG, DOC, or DOCX. Your Case Manager can assist you with saving documents during your appointment if needed. (Step 3 is only if you are submitting documentation electronically)
