Advanced placement in environmental science is designed to be equivalent to an introductory college-level environmental science course. This integrated course includes the study of biology, geology, geography, physics, and chemistry. In May, students may opt to take an AP examination to validate their academic experience and to receive college credit as determined by individual institutions of higher education.  The AP examination is designed, administered, and graded by the College Board.
