- every parent has the right to an affordable on-site after school program.
The NHCS After School Programs provide on-site affordable programs with quality care.
The program is a prepaid service. Parents/guardians must completely fill out the after school application and return it to the site with registration. During registration, they may choose to pay the weekly or monthly rate. Any parents/guardians that are interested in seeking financial assistance may contact the New Hanover County Department of Social Services.
Payment of fees is done monthly (at a discount) or weekly, depending on the site. In order to provide for more consistent care that covers all operating costs, there will no credit given when a child does not attend the program. All fees are due the Friday before the child attends the program if paying by the week or by the first day of the payment cycle if paying by the month. Failure to pay in advance will result in a late fee and will jeopardize the participation of your child in the program. Receipts are given after payment is accepted.
