Snipes Academy of Arts & Design

 

Annie H. Snipes Academy of Arts and Design- Restart Year Round

Snipes Academy of Arts and Design (Snipes) is our K-5 Arts specialty program school, preparing students for performances and competitions in the various art forms.  Snipes has a Design Lab and is the only elementary school offering Dance and Instrumental Music.  Students receive direct instruction in the arts through rotating enhancement classes in addition to the integration of arts with standards in the core curriculum.
International School at Gregory

International School at Gregory - Traditional Calendar

International School at Gregory (Gregory) offers a Spanish Dual Language/ Immersion program that serves students from Kindergarten through Grade 8. Gregory also provides instruction through the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), creating a school-wide Global STEM focus.  Additionally, students in grades 6-8 have the opportunity to receive Mandarin Chinese Language Instruction. 
Freeman School of Engineering

Rachel Freeman School of Engineering - Restart Year Round

Rachel Freeman School of Engineering (Freeman) is a K–5 specialty program school that provides school-wide integration of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) in the core curriculum.  Students at each grade level are exposed to computer science and become familiar with coding basics. Instruction consistently incorporates the Engineering Design Process (design, build, test, improve) to guide their critical thinking, problem solving, and innovation.  These young engineers engage in performance based demonstrations of their skill development through competitions such as First Lego League Jr. and Science Olympiad.

Dr. John Codington Elementary School

Dr. John Codington Elementary is a K-5 year round school that serves the southern end of the county. High academic expectations for staff and students guide our focus as we foster an inclusive and nurturing environment where critical thinking and risk taking are encouraged.  We are committed to actively engaging our Cougars in citizenship and service as we live out our motto, Codington C.A.R.E.S.: Conscientious Achievers are Respectful, Empathetic and Service Oriented.

Dr. Hubert A. Eaton Sr. Elementary School is a K-5 year-round school that serves students in the northern half of New Hanover county. Being the home of the Olympians, we take pride in our five core values: Empowerment, Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, and Academic Excellence. The mission of Eaton is to promote academic excellence through Inclusion, Modeling, Collaboration, and by challenging students to think in innovative ways.
