Infinite Campus for Parents

New Hanover County Schools uses Infinite Campus as our Student Information System. This updated platform gives families and students real-time access to grades, attendance, assignments, schedules, and more, all in one convenient place, with helpful tools to strengthen communication between home and school.

Use this page to find information and resources to help set up a parent account. With just one login, parents and guardians can access and manage information for multiple students quickly and easily.

Set Up Your Account and Complete Annual Enrollment Updates

Choose the option below that describes you. If you have signed in to the Parent Portal before, start with Existing Users. If this is your first time, start with New Users.

Access the Parent Portal

You can access the Infinite Campus Parent Portal using either:

Sign In

Use the username and password you created when you first set up your Parent Portal account.

Forgot your username?
  1. Select Forgot Username? on the Parent Portal login page (opens in a new tab).
  2. Enter the email address you used when you created your account.
  3. Check your email for a message containing your username.
Forgot your password?
  1. Select Forgot Password? on the Parent Portal login page.
  2. Follow the prompts to reset your password.

Begin Your Annual Enrollment Updates

After signing in, select Online Registration Update from the Shortcuts section on the Parent Portal home page. You can also select More, then choose Online Registration Update.

Complete Your Annual Enrollment Updates

Select Start next to 2026-2027 Annual Updates, then select Begin to start completing the required information for your family.

Before proceeding, verify that all of your currently enrolled students are listed. If any student is missing, do not continue. Submit a help ticket and wait for a response from your child's school first.

If all students are listed, continue through each section. You will:

  • Review and update your Household Information.
  • Review and update Parent/Guardian and Emergency Contact Information.
  • Complete the required student-specific forms for each student in your household.

Once you have reviewed all information and completed every required section, submit your Annual Enrollment updates.

Need help? Reach out to your school's Data Manager to verify or update your contact info. You can also check out the helpful Parent and Student Portal Walkthrough video from the NC Department of Public Instruction.

If you have never created an Infinite Campus Parent Portal account, you will need to set one up before completing your student's Annual Enrollment Updates.

Self-Service Account Setup

If you did not receive an activation email, you can create your account using the Infinite Campus Self-Service Portal if you know your child's Student ID number.

  1. Visit the Self-Service Portal (opens in a new tab) and select New Hanover County Schools.
  2. Enter your child's Student ID Number, First Name, Last Name, and Date of Birth, then select Find Student.
  3. Select the parent or guardian creating the account, choose a verification method, and enter the code you receive.
  4. Follow the link provided, select New User, and enter the activation code.
  5. Create your username and password, and verify your email address.
You only need to complete this setup once. After your account is created, all of your children will be linked to the same Parent Portal account.

Ready to Sign In?

Once your account is created and verified, sign in and select Online Registration Updates from the Shortcuts section, or select More > Online Registration Updates, to begin your 2026-2027 Annual Enrollment Updates.

Download the Campus Parent App

The Campus Parent app gives you the same tools as the browser version, plus the option to stay logged in and receive push notifications.

  1. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Search for your district name and state, entering at least 3 characters, then select New Hanover County Schools from the list.
  3. Enter your username and password.
  4. On a secure, private device, turn on Stay Logged In to receive push notifications, if enabled by your school.
  5. Select Log In.

How do I log into the Infinite Campus app?

The Campus Student and Campus Parent apps provide the same tools as the browser version, with the option to stay logged in and receive push notifications.

  1. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Search for your district name and state (at least 3 characters), then select it from the list.
  3. Enter your username and password.
  4. On a secure, private device, turn on Stay Logged In to receive push notifications, if enabled by your school.
  5. Select Log In.

The activation link I received isn't working. What do I do?

You can create a new Parent Portal Activation Code through the Self-Service Portal:

  1. Visit the Self-Service Portal (opens in a new tab) and select New Hanover County Schools from the dropdown menu.
  2. Enter the required student information and select Find Your Student.
  3. Verify your identity using the one-time passcode sent to you.
  4. Once verified, your Parent Portal code will be displayed.

If you continue to have issues, please submit a Help Ticket.

How do I change the preferred language in the Parent Portal?
  1. Log into the Parent Portal and select User Menu in the top right corner.
  2. Select Language.
  3. Choose your preferred language from the drop-down menu.
What if I'm missing students, or have students I don't know, in my account?

Missing a student? Submit a Help Ticket or contact your school's Data Manager for help adding the student to your account. Infinite Campus creates accounts based on physical address, so if your address was entered differently across students (for example, "11th Street" vs. "Eleventh Street"), a separate account may have been created. Your Data Manager can merge these accounts.

See a student who isn't yours? Submit a Help Ticket or contact your school's Data Manager. This can happen when multiple families share an address, such as an apartment complex. No confidential student data is exposed in either case.

I'm a parent and a New Hanover County Schools employee. Can I merge my staff and parent accounts?

Yes! Reach out to your school's Data Manager for help merging your staff and parent accounts, so you can access everything in one place.

How do I view my student's report card?
  1. Log into Infinite Campus via your web browser or the Campus Parent app.
  2. If you have multiple students, select the child whose grades you want to view on the main dashboard. Toggle between students using the person icon.
  3. Open the menu (three lines in the top-left corner).
  4. Select Grades and confirm the correct grading period is selected. From the same menu, select Documents.
  5. Under Report Card, select North Carolina Report Card to view and print your student's grades for the selected grading period.
How do I view my student's Individual Student Reports?

From the Campus Parent app:

  1. Open the Campus Parent app and log in to your account.
  2. Tap the three horizontal lines on the top left of the screen.
  3. Tap More, then Assessments.
  4. Under North Carolina Individual Score Report, tap to view all past and current Individual Score Reports for your child.

From the web:

  1. Log in to the Parent Portal.
  2. Select the three horizontal lines on the top left of the screen.
  3. Select More, then Assessments.
  4. Under North Carolina Individual Score Report, select to view all past and current Individual Score Reports for your child.
