What is PAC?
At New Hanover County Schools, we recognize that parent engagement is critical to our student's success. When parents actively participate in their child's education, remarkable benefits arise, including regular school attendance, improved academic performance, enhanced social skills, and a positive attitude toward school.
That is why we are excited to introduce the New Hanover County Schools Parent and Caregiver Academy (NHCS PAC). This initiative aims to bridge the gap between our dedicated school staff and the families we serve, equipping parents with the necessary tools, resources, and support to become more actively involved in their child's education.
Through NHCS PAC, we strive to promote increased parent involvement, foster improved communication between parents and teachers, enhance understanding of the curriculum and instructional strategies, and empower parents with the confidence to participate in their child's educational journey actively.

New Hanover County Schools Parent and Caregiver Academy (PAC Academy) seeks to partner with NHCS staff and community organizations to offer parent education and family support throughout New Hanover County. The PAC Academy strives to build to bridge the gap between our NHCS school staff and the families we serve, equipping parents with the necessary tools, resources, and support to increase student outcomes. This form is designed to outline your proposed workshop or presentation of interest. Once submitted, the PAC Academy team will review your proposal and notify you of the next steps. Proposals will be reviewed quarterly. Please note that NHCS PAC Academy does not pay for workshops.
